Calm Before the Bombing

Temperment: Okay
Days Left Til Mercer Return:32
Record: "Time Consumer" by Coheed and Cambria

Spent yesterday morning in the junk yard in Walthourvile looking for a grill for the jeep. You know usually I enjoy Junk yards. Huge and vast cars everywhere simple to work with. The only uncomfortable thing is when you run across one that still smells like blood or still has personal effects within.

The fun thing was this...the amount of time involved on getting to said junk yard. I drove to Walthourvile and was almost in Riceborough and assumed that I had been told wrong so I got back to an old car garage near the night club Rhode's family owns. He tells me that if I had kept going a mile on that road I woulda found it. So I go back out there and end up driving to clear into Riceborough. I'm use to junk yards being on cross-cut land near highways. This one was in the middle of the woods.

So I finally get there and I'm met with a nice lady. Who begins to tell me all about her family. They have a pastor in the family and they can't drink around. Thus cousin Nece (or No Good ^^ ) as I was introduced to her is always sneaking liqour in cans to the family. ^^ Reminded me of Quita's family with all their nicknames. I was tempted to ask if they had family in Washington.

So I finally get into the junk yard....which is like the prime ground for milaria and west nile virus to start. The place has cars everywhere, not to mention spiders and racoons and such. I walked the whole place found 3 jeeps and their grills were gone. In the hour I spent walking and looking I got bites all over my arms and back..I should take phots and then count them. Came out with my shoes caked in mud because well...there are some places in the yard that have never seen the light of day and with all the rain it was mini swamp. My shoe came off a few time so I was hopping around on one foot like an idiot.

This leaves me with one more junk yard in town...and frankly I dont think I'm going to find it out there. So basically I'm ready for my dad to kill me because Ive done all I can. I mean I fixed the lights ^^ and I'm working on the crack...tomorrow is D day if I dont find it then I'm toast. I came up with my story though. Someone hit it while it was parked in front of the dorms--freak paralell parking incident--totatlly believeable.

And here's hoping.....

PS

I miss Jonnell and Quita T_T

Poker Ponderings

Temperment: Curious
Days Left Til Mercer Return:34
Record: "The Sacrament" by HIM

I was playing poker the other day on yahoo. Ever since Starr taught me to play I've been doing it on an off for my own amusement. I ran into something interesting. Another fundamental difference I think between civilian kids and army brats. These people were talking about starting college and how they were going to start new since no one would really know them or know anything about them and how everything was going to be great. I started thinking about it and realized I had no real desire to do such a thing. I think its because I spent the better part of my life having chances to reinvent myself. Its like WD-40 (you know on the 40th try is how they got it). I think that's the way army kids are. You have lots of time and opportunity to see who you are and what works and what doesn't and really you eventually do whatever.

I think the civilian kids they've only had once chance. They've known the same people since they started school and theses people know all their stories and what they did and all this weirdness. So really they can't just change because everyone will go wft. So...basically I found it interesting that people are...so unhappy with what they are.Wait or maybe unhappy with what people think of them. I'm not sure it simply seems odd to me.

I guess everyone has a moment where they wanna be someone else...I'm just rambeling

Lazy July Update

Temperment: bored
Days Left Til Mercer Return:40-ish
Record: "Faraway" by Apocalyptica

Aww this song is so beautiful. Thanks Games ^^. Sitting here still bored still not doong much. Got an estimate on the front of the car...$1000. Can you believe that shit. For those of you who werent there it's the little fender bender from the parking lot. I think I'm going to try and fix it myself this weekend...if that doesn't work than I'm just going to bite the bullet and let my dad see it. I think I might lie about it and say I hit one of those big cemement things in the wal mart parking lot.

Really this update had no point...simply so not to leave a blank in my archieves for the month of July. ^^ with that done I bid you later ^^
